Human Rights Policy

The TOA CORPORATION Group has formulated our Human Rights Policy in order to disseminate the philosophy of respecting human rights. Going forward, we will establish a framework for human rights due diligence which shall be conducted periodically.

TOA CORPORATION Group Human Rights Policy

The TOA CORPORATION Group requires each officer and employee to respect the diversity, personality, and individuality of each other, and prohibits any act that violate human rights, including discrimination and harassment based on race, religion, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, place of origin, disability, or physical characteristics.
In addition, while strictly prohibiting all forms of child labour, forced labour, complicity in human trafficking, and human rights violations against foreign workers and others, we recognize the freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, and strive to provide appropriate working conditions.

1.Scope of Application

This policy applies to all officers and employees of TOA CORPORATION and its consolidated subsidiaries. We also expect that all business partners constituting our supply chains in the world to understand and support this policy.

2.Respect for International Norms

The TOA CORPORATION Group supports and respects international human rights norms, including the International Bill of Human Rights and the International Labour Organization (ILO) Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. In addition, we will carry out initiatives to respect human rights in accordance with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

We will comply with all appreciable laws and regulations, the spirit thereof in countries and regions where we operate our business activities, as well as international rules and social norms. If there is any inconsistency between the internationally accepted human rights standards and local laws, we will pursue ways to respect international human rights standards.

3.Implementation of Human Rights Due Diligence

To fulfill our responsibility to respect human rights, the TOA CORPORATION Group establishes a system for human rights due diligence which shall be conducted continuously.

Human Rights Due Diligence includes identifying, preventing, and mitigating any actual or potential negative impacts on human rights in our business activities and supply chain, and integrating the implemented measures into our internal processes.

4.Remedies

If the TOA CORPORATION Group is found to have caused or been involved in causing any adverse impact on human rights, we will take appropriate measures to remedy the situation.
If human rights are adversely affected by any of the parties involved in our supply chain, we will work together with them to make improvements to ensure that human rights are respected and not violated.

5.Education and Training

The TOA CORPORATION Group will reflect this policy in the necessary steps to ensure it becomes an integral part of our overall business activities, and will provide appropriate education and training to ensure that all officers and employees fully understand this policy.

6.Dialogue with Stakeholders

The TOA CORPORATION Group will engage in dialogue and discussion with relevant stakeholders regarding the impact of our business activities on human rights.

7.Information Disclosure

The TOA CORPORATION Group will report on our activities to respect human rights based on this policy through our website and other media.
