TOA CORPORATION Group Environmental Code of Conduct

The TOA CORPORATION Group recognizes global and regional environmental issues, such as climate change, resource circulation, and biodiversity, as a part of our management issues. Through our business activities, we will contribute to the realization of sustainable society that protects and utilizes natural capital.

1. Compliance with Environmental Laws and Regulations

We will comply with all environment-related laws and regulations applicable to the countries and regions in which we conduct business.

2. Implementation of environmental due diligence

We will identify negative environmental impacts on our supply chain, prevent and mitigate them. We continuously improve it through a series of processes for monitoring and correcting results.

3. Address climate change

We will work to minimize greenhouse gas emissions by promoting energy conservation and the use of renewable energy sources, so that we contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society.

4. Resource circulation

We take into consideration the environment issues in the regions related to our business activities, and promote sustainable use of resources such as water and natural resources under proper management.
In waste disposal, we will comply with laws and regulations, reduce and reuse waste generated in the process of our business activities, and contribute to the development of Cycler Economy.

5. Conservation of biodiversity

We will examine the impact of our business activities on biodiversity and contribute to the realization of nature symbiotic society by conserving and sustainably use of biodiversity.

6. Environmentally conscious procurement and construction methods

We will supply materials and equipment with minimal environmental impact and promote environmentally conscious construction methods. With the respect for United Nations' joint statement on the prevention of deforestation, we aim for zero deforestation and promote wood procurement that is assessed legality and sustainability.

7. Promote development of environmental technologies

We will contribute to the realization of sustainable society by promoting decarbonization and developments of environmental technologies that contribute to appropriate resource circulation, and biodiversity conservation.

8. Information Disclosure and Communication

We will disclose environmental information and promote communication with our stakeholders.

9. Enhancement of environmental awareness

Through trainings and other activities, we will raise environmental awareness among group executives and employees as well as the entire supply chain.
