TOA CORPORATION (President: Takeshi Hayakawa) has proudly secured the contract for the "Construction of Dhaka Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters Building" from the Public Works Department (PWD) of Bangladesh. This significant project, valued at approximately 4.3 billion Japanese Yen, is set for completion within 30 months.

This pivotal undertaking, backed by a Japanese ODA (Official Development Assistance) loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), will see the construction of the state-of-the-art Fire Service and Civil Defense Headquarters. Located in the bustling Mirpur area of Dhaka City, the new facility will be a reinforced concrete (RC) building with one basement floor and ten above-ground floors, critically featuring a seismic isolation structure.

Beyond its earthquake resilience, the design incorporates advanced sustainable technologies, including a Building Energy Management System (BEMS) for optimized energy efficiency, rain harvesting for water conservation, solar power generation to reduce reliance on conventional energy, and the utilization of harvested water for grey water systems.

This innovative and environmentally conscious design is set to significantly bolster urban building safety by enhancing earthquake resilience for public infrastructure and promoting ecological stewardship, thereby mitigating disaster impact and strengthening social resilience across the region.
