Award of Contract for the Construction of 5 Container Berths at Tuas Port, Singapore

TOA CORPORATION (Headquarters: Shinjuku-Ku, Tokyo, President: Takeshi Hayakawa) has once again been awarded the construction project of the container terminal in the Tuas area of Singapore from PSA Corporation (Headquarters: Singapore). (Price not disclosed)
This project is the final segment of the Phase 1 construction development of Tuas Port, which TOA CORPORATION has been working on since 2019 and has already partially started operations.
TOA CORPORATION will construct the remaining 5 berths (approximately 85 hectares) following the completion of the initial 13 berths (approximately 250 hectares) as part of the Phase 1 construction development project.

The Tuas port will continue to be constructed in phases over the next 20 years. After the master plan is completed, it will be the world's largest automated container port with an annual handling volume of 65 million TEUs.
