The Joint Operation of TOA CORPORATION (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo: President Takeshi Hayakawa), Wakachiku Construction Co., Ltd. (Meguro-ku, Tokyo: President Katsuhiko Karasuda), PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk, PT Hutama Karya (Persero) and PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) have been awarded the construction project of "Patimban Port Development Project (II), Package 5 Contract: Car Terminal Construction" from Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DGST), Ministry of Transportation (MOT), Republic of Indonesia.
The construction period of the project is 31 months and the contract value of approximately USD 209 Million.
The project funded under the ODA loan from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will construct the country's largest new port in the Patimbang district of Subang Province, located in the eastern part of the Jakarta metropolitan area.
This project follows the Patimbang Port Development Project (Phase I) and is expected to expand the car terminal constructed in Phase I and improve the efficiency of distribution functions in the metropolitan area.
The ODA financing plan includes a Special Clause for Economic Partnership (STEP). The project will utilize advanced Japanese technology for soil improvement and reclamation of soft ground and will shorten the construction period through rapid construction methods.
TOA CORPORATION and Wakachiku Construction Co., Ltd. will contribute to the further development of Indonesia by steadily advancing the construction work toward the completion of this project, taking advantage of the technical capabilities and extensive experience that both companies have cultivated.
