Sakhalin ‡U LNG Plant Loading Facilities - RUSSIA -

Sakhalin Island, located in the far eastern region of Russia, has substantial resources of oil and gas. As a result, the island received the highest amount of foreign investment in Russia for the construction of oil and gas facilities. TOA Corporation joined the Sakhalin ‡U LNG Project in June 2003 for the construction of LNG loading facilities including the installation of 25 reinforced concrete caissons, carrying out foundation works for the oil export terminal and concrete supply for other contractors involved in the Project. The severe weather conditions, that were a distinctive feature of this project, precluded works on the jetty from being carried out during the winter period. Great care was taken in the construction of the jetty to preserve the environment as the feeding and breeding grounds of many fish and marine creatures were in close proximity to the project site.

TOA played an important role in the Sakhalin ‡U Project through the civil works for the LNG loading facilities, oil export terminal and concrete supply works.
